Drama in two acts

Robert Carpenter is a world renown mathematician. His granddaughter, Katie, is on the autism spectrum and is discovered to be a mathematical savant. Robert is skeptical about the long-term potential of Katie, but as she is able to attend the college where Robert works it becomes apparent that her abilities are unlimited. Unfortunately, as Katie’s skills increase Robert finds his own to be decreasing as he is ravaged by dementia. This intersection is navigated by their family as they try to support each in their journey.
